Time is running out! Be eligible to win $5000, $2500, $1000 or a chance at an Internship!
The October 23rd deadline is fast approaching for the 2015 Pearson Student Coding Contest, offering students a chance to win cash prizes and a potential opportunity for a Pearson internship. Now in its third year, the contest is open to all undergraduate students in the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec), so let your students, Higher Ed clients, Pearson partners and instructors know about this quickly approaching deadline.
Chances are high that your favorite contest entrant could make it the semi-finals and win an electronic badge for their participation from Acclaim badging, a cash prize or an internship!
This year, students are challenged to focus and integrate efficacy-a positive, measurable impact on learning-into the development of their app, while incorporating a Pearson Capability. To help bridge the diversity gap that exists in computer science-related career fields, Pearson is working with the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) and Girls Who Code to increase awareness of the contest to female and diversity audiences.
Help us get the word out about the deadline! Help us foster innovation by encouraging students to think about how technology can solve problems.
