During the Awards event at the Pearson Centennial, CO offices, on Friday, February 20 our three finalists presented their winning applications. Our judges then deliberated to determine the final order of the cash awards. The judges saw a lot of value in all of the finalists, and we are pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 Pearson Student Coding Contest:
3rd Place - $1,000: QuickDef, presented expertly by team member Christopher Siegler, who represented fellow developers: Yhlas Jorayev, Nicholas Brantley, and Ryan Jones from Troy University.
2nd Place - $2,500: CurricuLab, presented by developer, and self-taught programmer, Garrett Smith from Harper College.
1st Place - $5,000: CrowdLearn - presented by developer, and soon to be graduate, Alex Ngure from the University of Minnesota
A big thank you to all of our student participants, our judges, and Pearson staff who made today's event a learning experience for all in attendance.
